The Vocabitat™

Students learn about the 4,000 words in an online environment called the Vocabitat™—a vocabulary habitat. In each lesson, students will visit these learning areas:

• Treehouse Studios - where students are assessed on their ability to pronounce words and recognize word meanings
  
  
• Cozy Cave - where students are introduced to the words within the context of a reading activity
  
  
• Hidden Falls - where students play games with the words
  
  
• Pride Peak - After five lessons, students are sent to Pride Peak, where they play a game that reviews function words and the hardest words of the unit.
