Reading Assessment

The Reading Assessment, and option available for teacher selection, incorporates an emerging technology called Automated Speech Recognition (ASR). In the reading assessment, words are displayed one at a time for students. Using a headset with a built-in microphone, students read the words. The computer analyzes what is said and gives feedback to students about their accuracy. As with the listening assessment, students' performance influences their path through the lesson and the materials they view.
